This is one of the most colorful and nosiest places and focuses on the vibrancy and liveliness of the Roman life. If you turn up here when the sun is up, you can see the place brimming with vegetable markets beautifully interspersed with flower markets-a colorful sight indeed. The piazza also hosts food markets, for those who love food. Young Romans love the place even better at night when it transforms to an open-air pub and buzzes with hard-drinking students.

Testaccio is one hip hop area where you come across all night dance clubs and a young vibrant population which sets it aflame. Dancers might be interested in the hyper-trendy diso here. The glass ceiling which separates the lower and upper bars are a delight to watch as well as to enjoy dance.Testaccio plays a significant role in contributing to the Cool and Trendy part of the city of Rome.
Rome and Romans love jazz and Alexanderplatz is their Big daddy. Passionate crowds horde in here and you can find names you will easily recognise giving their excellent performances here, performers like Lionel Hampton and George Coleman.
If you are a jazz lover and planning a dinner here on your rome city break, be warned to book in advance otherwise you might have to return disappointed. The place goes bang from 10.30 onwards. The outdoor festival held during the months of July to September is moved to Villa Celimontana here to accommodate the huge crowds which gather here.
Check out the bookshop which specialises in music at the place. Earlier the Auditorium Conciliazione was considered to be the city's premier music venue. The venue was recently renovated. You get to see concerts, films and dances here.
