A rare find gem, Armando is a simple restaurant located a few yards from an A-league tourist attraction. It is also located right by the Pnatheon. It has all the hallmarks of authenticity: cork walls, indifferent artworks, a pretty, stained-glass entrance and friendly service from the family that has run it for the last couple of generations. The menu is almost unchanging with classics like fettucine all'Armando (with mushrooms, peas and tomatoes) or ossobuco. The only concessions to changing times are some filling vegetarian dishes and a much-expanded wine list.
